My gosh, your traditional is simply wonderful! And self-taught?? How long have you been teaching yourself? :o

I like the fact your gallery is a good mix of traditional and digital, which medium do you prefer? :)

Aww thank you so much! :D
Well... I have been drawing since childhood, but trying to seriously study and improve myself only from 5-6 years...! :D
And I can't tell which medium I prefer, actually! XD I love both digital and traditional... I think it may depend on the subject of the artwork I have in mind which one of the 2 it is better to use! :D

Yeah! The effort really shows! :D I can agree with you there! Sometimes I really really like traditional, but then there are some ideas that come to my head and the only thing I can think of is drawing it out digitally. I still prefer traditional, though ;) It's much easier for me to draw on paper than on the computer (and I like it much better, too) But I'm getting the hang on digital XP

Are you pursuing/going to pursue art as a career?

Thank you! <3

And well... yes... I'd love to make of art my job. I am trying to do this! It is not easy, expecially 'cause I decided to do that quite late... I never had considered drawing to be a possible job but only an hobby for long time. I studied and graduated and then worked in very different fields. Then I said myself: I love drawing, so let's do that. LOL I am crazy maybe, 'cause I also quit my job (I had to, for other reasons too). But it is 2 years now that I am surviving with drawings and commissions. And though it is tight, I am proud of that! :D

Wow... that's crazy. I'm really conflicted with what I want to do. I got back into drawing a little over for two years, after a four year hiatus! Now I can't imagine not drawing and kinda want to go back and tell myself that, but we can't go back to the past! (Sometimes, I really wish I could!) :XD:. I get lazy, sure, but I wouldn't stop drawing. And Writing, too! I love both :)

It may not seem like much, but I really appreciate your reply! I'm always fighting against the mentality that I can't make a career out of it because I'm too old to start drawing professionally, but hell, if you risked it to live off commissions, I don't see why I can't keep going ;) It's a different perspective than the old "I knew this was going to be my job since I was five," And it makes me feel better about it all.

Oh so you're a writer too! that's cool! I also like writing, but I can't do it so often! ;___; I wish I could have 48 hours per day, instead of 24 xD
And I can understand about getting lazy =_= I am that way all the time, and I hate this part of me so much! ;__;

And yes, don't stop drawing and keep going with it! results will arrive! :D

Yes! I DO feel more skilled in writing than I do at art, but I'll just keep my stuff hidden while I cook up more things to write. I don't post up my writing anymore because many people on deviantArt don't /really/ read stuff unless you 1) created a good fanbase with art or something and 2) it's not that long.  I don't have a fanbase yet and my short stories are usually more than 4 pages long, so it's not something that's on my immediate "to-do" list, even if I've wanted to upload some writing (actually, my username HAS something to do with literature, so it's like I'm not living up to my name =P).

Eventually, though, I'd love to put my developing story up online for everyone to read. I don't see it being published anywhere, but I don't know where life will take me, you know? ;)

I definitely wish days were 48 hours. I've actually been having a bad time sleeping and stuff because I want to both finish and work on my drawings AND wake up before noon. Obviously, I can't have both so I've been waking up before the 8 hours needed. Been tired all week! @__@

Sorry I ranted about my personal stuff out of the blue, I kinda wanted to share :giggle: I definitely feel your pain :XD:

LOL I can understand I also try to optimize my daily time, but it is so hard following and respecting it! xD
Well, anyway it is great that at least we try! Isn't it? :giggle:
